This work summarises data on the spider fauna (Araneae) of the Bohemian Karst Protected Landscape Area (central Bohemia, southwest of Prague) in the period 1894 to 2009. A great number of data availab le for xerothennic habitats (rock and forest steppes) is complemented by reco rds obtained from various other habitats (dec iduous or evergeen forests, wetlands, river banks, caves, quarries and disturbed or developed areas). From 56 investigatcd localities, we identified a total of 446 spider species, many ofwhich belong among rare and endangered in the Czech Republic.
