Telomeres are highly conserved throughout taxons. Most of Arthropods share the same telomeric sequence (TTAGG)n. There are some deviations from this motif, but in most cases, the telomeric sequence follows the same pattern. However in spiders, the telomeric motif typical for Arthopoda is not present. The aim of this thesis is to explore the spider telomeric sequence by leveraging available sequencing data and find out, if it is a variation of the classic motif.
